As some of you may know my wedding is coming up soon! April 1st will make three months until the big day and I really want to look good in my dress. I have an appointment for dress alterations on April 13th so I'm trying to push myself a little harder to reach my goal weight or at least make sure I'm not so bloated. I decided to add a 30 day Ab challenge to my bucket list to help me stay on track with my goals. I've also been doing the Whole 30 meal plan which is one of the hardest things I've ever done. I try not to have sugar, grains, and dairy. Though, I may slip up here and there, majority of my meals are meat and veggies. Last week I've been doing some walking/jogging in the evenings along with workouts on the 8fit app. Believe it or not I'm only 5 more pounds away from my goal weight! I'm trying my hardest to stay inspired and get the last 5 pounds off! I will probably do a update during the middle of the Ab challenge to let you know how its going.

Here is the ab challenge I will be doing, that was found via google and Pinterest too! As you can see its three exercises but each day they add in 5 more crunches, 2 more leg raises, and 5 seconds worth planks. (I hate planking!) You can join in if you want. Have you guys done one of these before? How did it go?

I wanted to start my own bucket list for 2017.  I will be updating this throughout the rest of the year. Because I'm sure I'll be thinking of more ideas especially for the Summer! I will make a new section on my blog for these posts so you'd be able to see them.

Over the weekend I wanted to recreate a look I kept seeing on Pinterest. The image above shows my two favorite looks. Some of the other styles I saw had different color shirts underneath the leather jacket, but I'm always drawn toward a clean white tee! For my recreation of the outfit I combined the white graphic tee with a chunky scarf, leather jacket, skinny jeans, high heel combat boots and red lipstick of course. Sometimes when I don't know what to wear I search Pinterest or Weheartit for outfit inspo. Usually I base my search a particular type of clothing I want to wear. So for instance, I would type in leather jacket outfits and a ton of inspo will show on how you can style the leather jacket. Its really helpful when you're stuck on what to wear or how to wear a particular piece. I would love to see what outfits you guys can put together with a leather jacket tag me on Instagram with your shots! @iamchristinaxo. Check out my outfit below! :)

On May 26th 2016 we travelled to New York for the Memorial Day weekend. Kita (my fiancĂ©) had told me about a competition at his work where the grand prize was an iPad Pro. The completion was to see who could take the best pictures/selfies during the Memorial Day weekend with family or friends. There were specific categories that had to be incorporated into your selfies like your favorite architecture, an art piece, the best dessert, food, etc. The pictures were to be reviewed after the holidays then they would decide who won based on the best pictures. As you can imagine I was overly excited! I told Kita that I knew we would win because we were going to New York and in my opinion there is no better place to do this. Before arriving to NYC I had a feeling that this trip would include a proposal but I wasn't sure exactly when or how he would do it. We were planning the NYC trip for months and at some point I suggested canceling the trip to save money, but he was very persistent. Nothing or nobody could tell him that we weren’t going.
We arrived Thursday night did a little walking around Times Square and headed back to his cousin’s place. Little did I know that his family knew of his plans to propose. The next day, Friday May 27th, I got a text from my sister Angelique telling me about a free concert in Central Park that me and Kita should go and check out. I told her how I wish she was there to experience New York and spend time together, and that we would try to make the concert. Of course we didn't make it; we woke up late and decided to go for breakfast instead.
So in my mind Saturday was the big day right, at least that’s what I hoped. I was so nervous because I wasn't sure when or how he would do it. It felt like we went a million places that day but there were two places I was sure he was going to propose. The 1st being at the Top of The Rock at the Rockefeller Center and 2nd being Central Park. His body language made me more nervous by the minuet, but still no ring. There was one moment at the Top of the rock where he said "Come let’s sit down" and I said “no I want to take some pictures over there that seems cool for Instagram.”, hoping that he wouldn’t do it there because we always talked about proposals having meaning behind them.
So it was after 5pm and it was time to go to the MOMA. Btw if you know me you know that the MOMA is my favorite art gallery. The 1st time I stepped foot in the gallery made me change my career path. To be honest, I never thought the MOMA would be an option for a proposal. So for me it was more of lets hurry get there, meet up with his cousin, look at some good art, and go for some food! We were there for about 10-15 mins before Kita told me that his cousin texted him and told him he was outside and wanted to know where we were. I had no clue of what was soon going to happen. We were standing in front of this minimal art piece talking about the meaning of the piece and our thoughts on it as we always do, but I glanced Omari (Kita's cousin) from the corner of my eye. As soon as he noticed I saw him he just turned right back around. I was confused thinking he really didn’t see us, but after a few seconds he came back with a girl behind him. In my mind I thought he brought his girlfriend who we never met. But as she came closer I realized who the girl really was! It was my sister Angelique!!! (Yes the same one who sent me a text message that very that morning). I really couldn't believe it so I turned around to ask Kita what was going on and that’s when I saw him on one knee. I never felt my heart race so quickly before and I yelled "WHAT ARE YOU DOING ON THE FLOOR!" To this day I don't know what Kita said to me, but I was in tears and I was so overwhelmed. Earlier that day I almost cried to him telling him how much I missed my family and wished I could see them. I really didn't know what was happening but I remember Angelique telling me there's no iPad pro and I was like "whattttt". Overall this was the best proposal I could have ever imagined having! I got documentation of the entire day because of the selfies, mystery, family, my favorite place, and the love of my life. I'm so happy to be marrying the man of my dreams in four months!
