As the seasons shift and the air gets crisper, I love finding small ways to make my home feel a little warmer and cozier — without overhauling my entire space or spending too much. This year, my fall decor is simple, soft, and mostly repurposed from previous seasons. I only added two new vases (from Marshalls!) and styled everything around items I already had on hand.
If you're into a minimal, earthy approach to fall decorating, or just looking for ideas that don't scream "pumpkin overload," I hope this gives you some inspiration.
My Fall Decorating Style This Year
I focused on layering textures, warm neutral tones, and soft candlelight. Most of what I used came from previous years, with just a couple of new additions. The overall look is calm, cozy, and intentional — fall vibes without the clutter.
Think: dried florals, warm-toned candles, soft textiles, and a few statement pieces that make the space feel lived-in and seasonal.
Living Room
The living room has a subtle but cozy seasonal feel, styled with pieces I’ve collected over time:
-
A mix of small fur pumpkins in light tan and white
-
A wooden sign that reads “Autumn Leaves and Pumpkins Please”
-
White pillar candles for soft ambient lighting
-
Dried uva stalks are arranged in a vase in the corner of the room, and also styled on the living room shelves — their texture adds height and warmth without feeling heavy
-
Draped over the couch is a chunky knit blanket that instantly brings in ultimate cozy vibes
This space feels warm and inviting without being overwhelmed by decorations — just the right balance of minimal and comforting.
Coffee Table
I kept the coffee table light and airy:
-
A gold candle holder with twisted beige/tan taper candles
-
A clear glass vase filled with bunny tail dried florals
This setup adds a soft, organic feel — a little golden glow and a bit of movement from the natural textures.
Dining Room
In the dining room, I added two ceramic vases from Marshalls — one of the only new items this season:
-
The white vases with speckled brown tops are placed on the dining table and filled with fall candles
-
When lit, they give off a warm golden-orange glow, and the scent brings that cozy fall mood to life
On the credenza, I styled:
-
A tall white vase filled with brown dried eucalyptus (from Hobby Lobby)
-
A small espresso shot mug with a saucer for an understated, cozy touch
-
A few white pillar candles in tall, clear glass holders to add height and softness
Kitchen Touches
In the kitchen, a simple seasonal swap:
-
Brown plaid towels hanging from the stove
It’s small, but just enough to tie the space into the rest of the fall decor.
Bedroom + Cloffice
The bedroom stayed soft and neutral:
-
White bedding layered with beige Casaluna pillows
-
I had planned to get a brown duvet cover this year, but I didn’t find the right one, so I kept it simple with what I had
Even without anything new, the room still feels warm and calm.
My little cloffice got a seasonal refresh this year. I added a few dried florals for a soft, natural touch and styled the open wardrobe with a white and beige neutral palette.
The space feels calm and cozy — filled with textures that quietly hint at fall. Knits, sweaters, long cardigans, coats, winter hats, and shoes are all displayed neatly on my IKEA PAX wardrobe, creating a tonal mix that feels both functional and inspiring.
It’s a small space, but dressing it for the season makes it feel like a creative retreat — warm, grounded, and perfectly in tune with the rest of our home.
Final Thoughts: Cozy Doesn’t Have to Mean Cluttered
You don’t need a full decor haul or elaborate displays to make your home feel like fall. A few small changes — candles, dried florals, cozy textures — can transform your space into something seasonal, soothing, and beautiful.
Decorating with what you already have can be just as fulfilling (and often more personal) than buying everything new.
