I'm adding some color to my blog and I'm so excited to start with blush pink. I want bright pastel colors to be my base colors for Spring and Summer. I'm not going to use outrageous bright colors but I will use strategic hints of pink, yellow, and blue mixing in with neutrals to add layers. I'm so happy that we are already half way through the month of February so that time can change! I don't want the months to fly by too quickly, but I just want winter to be over. No more heavy boots, layers of clothes, and hats that mess up your hair. It's still winter here in Pittsburgh, but sometimes we get a few warm days and thats when I jump to the chance to dress up in warmer clothes!

In today's outfit I am wearing a blush pink button down top with a white pencil skirt. I paired the look with some pink pointed toe heels and my black quilted shoulder bag. I really wanted to use my white purse, which is my go-to purse but I wanted to add some black to give my outfit some contrast.

The detailing in the shirt really romanticizes the look and gives a flirty touch to the outfit. I'm realizing that these types of shirts flatter me. I picked this up at a free clothing drive back in January and was so excited to style it.

The pencil skirt is actually part of a co-ord set. I'm falling in love with sets right now because its so easy to mix and match different pieces without it looking like your wearing the same outfit over and over..

Hello Loves! As some of you may know, I love to find ways to incorporate statement pieces with basics trying to find the perfect balance between them. I love the idea of coming up with different looks using the same pieces while still looking stylish. If your someone who loves to change up your style and is constantly looking for ways to bring variety to your wardrobe continue reading to see how I styled a black blazer, grey ripped denim and suede pumps.

CHOKER TOP

It's always a good idea to go back to the basics when looking for tops that are not the statement piece. There is a variety of basic tops out there you can use like the choker top I'm wearing for this week's outfit. Usually, if you want a more dressy top it is a good idea to use a top that is less form-fitting and looser. If you're wearing a blazer I would say any top works well once it relates to your bottom and blazer.

OVERSIZE BLAZER

The blazer can be a men's or women's cut but make sure you like how it fits your body. In my experience the men's blazers make my shoulders look broader which isn't a look I like. I would suggest styling your blazer with a white tee over blue or colored denim for a nice casual look. For a more dressed look, you can pair it with an LBD.

STYLE DENIM WITH PUMPS

Shoes can literally make or break an outfit. I'm obsessed with pairing denim with pumps. It's sophisticated with a touch of elegance.

ACCESSORIZE!

You can't go wrong with accessories. I have my go-to purses that are light and compact, but sometimes I opt for a shoulder bag especially when I need to carry more than just my phone and glasses. I also think pairing any outfit with sunglasses makes you look even chicer!
